Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!

Mickey Pumpkin Wreath

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! I am so excited for this year’s party! Spooky season is my personal top season so I am super excited! Thankfully Disney starts Halloween is August so I don’t have to wait too long 😮‍💨

Let me start by saying that there is a ton that can be done at this party. When you enter and receive your wrist band you will be handed a party guide for the night that will detail each of the things you can participate in. I recommended coming into the park early, before the party starts, to make sure you can look over the event guide and decide what your top to dos are. Also, coming into the park makes it easier as you won’t feel rushed!

Once you have your night somewhat planned out, I recommend browsing the shops, riding some rides, or just hanging out down Main Street U.S.A. while you wait! Once the party starts head for your first must do!

This party is filled with tons of fun for the whole family. Lots of tricks and treat and great things to eat! So, let’s dive into the must dos at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!

  • CHARACTER MEET AND GREETS

If you have ever wanted to meet some rare characters this is the time to do it! Characters like the Seven Dwarfs or Jack and Sally, maybe Cruella or even Hades will be out and ready to meet you! The lines for these interactions get very long very quickly so if this is a top priority make sure to get in line as fast as possible. Valuable party time can be eaten up while waiting in lines to meet characters so if this is not at the top of the to do list then I would probably skip it.

  • ENTERTAINMENT

Throughout the night, you will have a chance to see several different shows. There are spooky fireworks, the Sanderson Sisters have a stage show, and there is the parade headed by the Headless Horseman (all puns intended)! I would do my best not to miss these, even if you only stay for a few minutes of each, I think they are definitely worth your time!

There is also the option for 2 different dance parties. One is usually a Disney Junior dance part and the other is a Disney DJ dance party.

  • RIDE OVERLAYS

This is a fun party addition! There will be select attractions during most of Disney’s after-hours events that have a special overlay, or rather a theme change, that makes the ride different! The two rides most always enhanced are Mad Tea Party and Space Mountain. For the Halloween season, the Mad Tea Party will usually have vibrant colors and fog when you ride and Space Mountain is completely pitch-black dark! Both of these rides are a lot of fun if you can stomach them!

  • SPECIALTY TREATS

Sweets and Treats

In your guide map there are also several options for specialty treats! These are treats that you cannot purchase as a normal day guest. Anything from specialty milkshakes, cup cakes, cookies, and more will be available. If your goal is to try as many treats as possible bring a friend and split them! That’s a lot of sweet in most of those treats!

  • TREAT TRAILS

Candy bars

You will have the option for several treat trails to get all the candy your heart desires! Make sure you are ready to carry those bags as they get heavy. The more treat trails the more candy! Each treat trail is marked so they are easily identifiable.

They do have allergy friendly treats available. When you check in for the party, let a cast member know that a member of you group has an allergy (tree nut, etc.) and they will give you a special bag to carry. As you trick or treat you will collect treat tokens that can be redeemed at a specified location for the allergen friendly candy. That way everyone gets to participate in a little trick or treating!

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is always a good time! From the decorations and spooky vibes to the character meets and sweet treats this is definitely a party worth the price! If you can snag a ticket when they first drop, I highly recommend going. The prices for this even do vary and will increase as October 31st approaches.

Let me know if you have been to Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party and what your favorite thing about the event was below!

As always feel free to reach out if you have any questions, I’d love to help!
