Hollywood Studios Rides Guide!

Hollywood Studios

Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, located in Florida, has become one of Disney’s best parks over the past few years! New attractions and some old goodies make this park a must visit. This park has theme specific lands for when you want to visit old Hollywood, Andy’s backyard, or Batu. Hollywood Studios is a can’t miss park! Let’s dive into all of Disney’s Hollywood Studios rides!

**Rides with height requirements will be at the top of the list**

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

Hollywood Studios
Millennium Falcon

Get ready to board the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy and pilot it to success! This ride has two pilots, two gunners, and two engineers with each position having its own tasks. This is a very thrilling ride, filled with a ton of giggles if you don’t have very good pilots; definitely a ride better done with friends or family! This ride has a 38” height requirement.  (This is a simulator attraction so if you are prone to motion sickness beware) (Located in Batu)

Rock N Roll Rollercoaster

Hollywood Studios
Rock ‘N Roller Coaster

This is one of Disney’s true coaster attractions that has a 48” height requirement. You will hop into a limo, set up for you by the band, Aerosmith, to help you get to their concert in time. This is a fast pace attraction with loops and twist and turns reaching speeds of 60 mph. This is an indoor launch coaster and certain sections are also very dark. A can’t miss attraction for my family! *This ride gets up to 60 mph* (Located down Sunset Blvd.)

Despite being closed for a lengthy refurbishment, this ride will bring all the thrills back as soon as it re-opens!

Slink Dog Dash

Walt Disney World
Slinky Dog Dash

With a 38“ height requirement this can be a great starter coaster! Also, the second most popular ride in the whole park! It is a very cutely themed coaster with a few hills and turns but no upside down or corkscrew portions. Don’t miss Wheezy on your way back into the station as he sings, “You’ve got a friend in me”! It will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day! *This ride gets up to 40 mph* (Located in Toy Story Land)

Star Tours – The Adventures Continue

This ride has a 40” height requirement. Jump into hyper space and come face to face with Kylo Ren, Boba Fett, or Darth Vader as you travel through different alien worlds! This ride will definitely shake you up a bit; all in good fun of course! (However, this is a simulator attraction so if you are prone to motion sickness beware) (Located in Echo Lake)

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Come along as you enter The Twilight Zone! This ride is a drop coaster taking you up 13 stories high and dropping you, just a few times! This ride is extremely thrilling from the que to the ride itself. This is my absolute favorite ride in Walt Disney World and my trip is not complete until I have ridden it! 10/10 would recommend! This ride has a 40” height requirement.  (This ride may not be suitable for littles as it has scary themes and other elements) (Located down Sunset Blvd.)

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Walt Disney World
Storm Trooper

Undeniably, this ride is a feat of Imagineering! You have been captured by the first order and need to escape, good thing the Resistance have a droid ready to help. This ride is amazing, thrilling from beginning to end, and will have you wanting more! I highly recommend given this ride a try! This is by far the most popular Hollywood Studios rides, but Slinky Dog Dash comes in at a very close second. This ride has a 40” height requirement.  (There are several different ride elements so if you are prone to motion sickness be cautious!) (Located in Batu)

Alien swirling saucers 👽

Board your alien ship and spin around in various circles while being serenaded by the aliens from Toy Story.  They will sing a few different songs so it is fun to see what you get! Oooooo, the claw! It’s a fun ride that whips you back and forth along the track; similar to Maters Junk Yard Jamboree in Disneyland. This ride has a 32” height requirement. (Located in Toy Story Land)

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Walt Disney World
Runaway Railway

This ride is fantastic fun for the whole family and it is one of the newest Hollywood Studios rides! Climb aboard the runaway train and try to make your way back to Goofy. Some pretty interesting thing happen on your journey. Make sure you keep an eye out for Pluto! This ride uses screen projectors and a moving ride vehicle for a fully immersive experience! (Located in the Chinese Theater)

Toy Story Midway Mania

Walt Disney World
Toy Story Land

This has to be everyone competitive dads’ favorite attraction! This ride is also a video game! Make sure to shoot the targets and get a high score! Basically, make sure that you have lasting bragging rights! This ride is fun for the whole family and has always put a smile of my families faces. Highly recommend this one! At the present time, I am still the champ! (Located on Toy Story Land)
