Epcot Ride Guide!

Disney World’s Epcot is a Disney classic all on its own. Originally dreamt to be a futuristic community of tomorrow, Epcot has given us some amazing “Edutainment” attractions. Although this park has had a few iterations and changes, some welcomed and some opposed, it is a beautiful park with some great rides and festivals! Today lets breakdown Epcot’s rides!

**Rides with height requirements will be at the top of the list**

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Epcot
Guardians

This ride has a 42” height requirement and is one of Disney’s best! Ride along with the Guardians of the Galaxy and try to save the world; No Biggie! This ride’s vehicle rotates while going forward and backward along the track. Definitely don’t want to miss this one! *This ride has a top speed of 60 mph* (Located in World Discovery)

Soarin’ Around the World

Great Wall of China

This ride has a 40” height requirement and is loving referred to as everyone’s’ mom’s favorite ride! Soar through the air in a hang-glider through beautiful scenes from the Savannah, China, and beyond. This ride is relaxing and fun! Be wary if you are afraid of heights! (Located in World Nature)

Mission Space

Epcot
Mission Space

This ride has a 40” height requirement for the Green side and a 44” height requirement for the Orange side. The orange side is a little more intense that the Green. You will travel through space like a real astronaut on this ride, experiencing G-force and spins. This is the only Disney ride to come with a “sick bag” in case you need it. This ride is not for people who can’t do spinning or has motion sickness. (Located in World Discovery)

Test Track

This ride has a 40” height requirement. Create you dream car and then get ready to test it on the open road. This ride is super fun for the littles, since they can’t drive a real car, and get to design their own car! See how well your car performs and earn some bragging rights! *This ride has a top speed of 65 mph* (Located in World Discovery)

-This ride is set to close on June 17, 2024 for a major re-theme and will likely be closed for a year. We can’t wait to see what becomes of this ride! –

Spaceship Earth

Epcot
Spaceship Earth

This is a classic Disney Epcot ride! Take a trip through time while learning about the past and then get ready to create your future. This ride is a slow-moving dark ride with multiple sets. It is education and entertainment all in one, Epcot’s main core values of “edutainment”! (Located in World Celebration – inside the big Epcot Ball, Park icon)

Frozen Ever After

This is a classic Disney dark ride! Ride along in a cozy boat while going through the story of Frozen! Don’t forget to sing “Let it go” with Elsa and “In Summer” with Olaf! There is a small drop in this ride and you will more likely than not get a little splashed. This is probably everyone’s kid’s favorite ride! (Located in World Showcase- Norway Pavilion)

Journey into Imagination with Figment

Epcot Flower and Garden
Figment Topiary

This is another classic Disney dark ride! Sing your way through the tour of the Imagination Institute and try not to get the song stuck in your head! While there have been several different iterations of this ride, and this one is definitely not the favorite, I personally love Figment! Plus, Figment’s upside-down house is pretty cool! (Located in World Nature)

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

Epcot France Pavillion
France Pavilion

This is yet another classic Disney dark ride! In this ride, you have been shrunken down to the size of a mouse, and you are moving through the kitchen, trying to avoid Chef Skinner. This ride has stunning visuals with a mix of screens and physical sets, plus a trackless ride system. You will get a little warm on this ride as well as a little wet so be prepared! (Located in World Showcase- France Pavilion)

The Seas with Nemo and Friends

Someone say “Disney dark ride”? We love to see it! Climb aboard your clamshell and ride through the story of Finding Nemo. Have an encounter with some sharks, remember “fish are friends, not food” and swim with some totally awesome turtles! This ride is relaxing and visually stunning! (Located in World Nature)

Gran Fiesta Tour Starting the Three Caballeros

Disney is at it again in this park with yet another Disney dark ride! Follow the Three Caballeros through beautiful sets and straight to a fiesta! This ride is inside the Mexico Pavilion Pyramid so don’t miss it! (Located in World Showcase- Mexico Pavilion)

Living with the Land

This is honestly one of my favorite Disney rides and my favorite Epcot ride! A calm boat ride through a few beautifully crafted sets and the green houses of Epcot makes for a relaxing scenic journey. The is another Epcot “edutainment” ride! Fun fact: the restaurant above Living with the land that spins called, Garden Grill, lets you see into the ride at the farm house section. The bedroom you can see in this scene is a replica of Walt Disney’s bedroom from his childhood!
