Disney World’s Animal Kingdom is one of my absolute favorite Disney parks! It is filled with beautifully curated scenic view, intriguing scents, and of course adorable animals! This park is a definite must do for my family every Disney trip and I hope it will be for your family as well! Without delay, let’s breakdown all the Animal Kingdom rides!
**Rides with height requirements will be at the top of the list**
Avatar Flight of Passage
This ride has a 44” height requirement. Hop of the back of a banshee as you soar through unfamiliar, beautiful places! This ride is one of a kind with a super unique ride vehicle that may not be for everyone so check the seat outside before riding! I don’t want to give too much details of this ride away because I think the first-time experience of riding is breathtaking, even if you have watched 10 different POV videos! (Located in Pandora-The World of Avatar)
Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
This ride has a 44” height requirement and is one of Disney’s true coasters! With a backward section and some great hills this is a must ride. Just watch out for that Yeti (or disco yeti as she is lovingly called!) This is one of my favorite Animal Kingdom rides. *This ride gets up to 50 mph* (Located in Asia)
Kali River Rapids
This ride has a 38” height requirement. This is your standard circle raft ride. There are some small drops and one large drop with the potential of getting somewhat wet to completely soaked. Basically, this is your kids’ favorite ride; Ah water rides! (Located in Asia)
DINOSAUR
This ride has a 40” height requirement. This ride is great if you like dinosaurs but also a bit creepy! Travel back in time and get ready to bring back a Dino with you…if you make it! This ride has always been a favorite of mine but make sure your kiddos are prepared as it has scary elements and is quite dark. (Located in DinoLand U.S.A.)
-DinoLand U.S.A will be closing to make way for a re-themed area. Disney has not released the date for closure as of yet-
Triceratops Spin
This is your standard dumbo-like attraction just with adorable dinosaurs! Kiddos love these rides and it usually has a very low wait time! (Located in DinoLand U.S.A.)
-DinoLand U.S.A will be closing to make way for a re-themed area. Disney has not released the date for closure as of yet-
Kilimanjaro Safaris
This is the ride you come to Animal Kingdom for! Take a ride in a safari vehicle, enjoy the breath- taking Savannah, and see some pretty cool animals! If you do nothing else in this park this should be you one go-to must do! Pro tip: more animals are out in the morning when it is cooler so try to get on this ride before lunch! They don’t like to sweat either! (Located in Africa)
Na’vi River Journey
This is a classic Disney dark ride. Hop aboard a tranquil boat and into the bioluminescent forest of the Na’vi. This is a relaxing ride with beautiful views and one of the most impressive animatronics at the end, The Shaman of Song. I recommend this ride for everyone!
Wildlife Express Train
🚂
This one is kind of a bonus! Taking a ride on this train offers a few scenic views but mainly the destination is the reason to ride this train. The one and only stop will put you at Rafiki’s Planet Watch and the Conservation Station with a petting zoo! The kiddos love this area (and so do the adults)! (Located in Africa)
